For responsible artificial intelligence
Orange has obtained the Positive AI label which recognizes its commitment to ethical and responsible artificial intelligence and certifies its approach to continuous progress.

Responsible artificial intelligence is the application by companies of ethical principles in the design, development and use of these technologies.
The Positive AI label was created by the Positive AI association which brings together a community of companies and organizations committed to responsible, concrete and applicable Artificial Intelligence. The association’s mission is to enlighten, support and co-construct with its members tools and methods to develop an environment of trust for users and employees.

The Orange company was evaluated by an external and independent third-party auditor in order to examine its general organization as well as its algorithms and design methods. The label certifies that Orange has implemented a responsible approach to the development and use of AI.
Concretely, this means that designers of AI-based solutions at Orange must take into account their potential social, ethical and environmental consequences and take measures to avoid or minimize them. These measures include, for example, energy efficiency and transparency of AI, the prevention of discrimination, the protection of privacy and personal data, and the security of AI against cyberattacks.

David Giblas, President of Positive AI and Deputy Managing Director of Malakoff Humanis: “The members of the association join me in congratulating the Orange France Data & AI teams mobilized in obtaining the Positive AI label for Responsible AI . This first Positive AI label is a great step in the life of our committed and dynamic association. »

Laetitia Orsini-Sharps, Consumer Director Orange France: “The potential of AI for Orange France’s relationship with its customers is immense, and the use cases are increasingly numerous. Orange has a major role to play so that artificial intelligence combines its potential for innovation and progress with respect for fundamental rights. Obtaining the label confirms that our governance and procedures are in line with the strictest standards on the subject, and challenges us to continue to improve continuously in order to maintain the highest level of requirements. I thank all the Orange teams who, for several weeks, fully mobilized to ensure recognition of Orange’s commitment to developing and using artificial intelligence systems responsibly.”
